Seabury Portuguese Water Dogs

Breeding for temperament, health and structure. We first fell in love with the breed in 1992. Our first dog, ‘Motes’ lived to 15+ years. She was followed by Schooner, Tikka, Saras, LouLou, Ruby, Nash, Franklin, Sophie, Taylor, Hunter, Rio, Bella, Oakley and Marsee. Showing in Conformation, Agility and Water Work.

We are members of the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club), the PWDCC (Portuguese Water Dog Club of Canada, and the PWDCA (Portuguese Water Dog Club of America). These affiliations are important: to support our breed; to be involved in a community of like-minded committed fanciers; and to keep current with developing issues that concern our breed and dog ownership in general.

As a breeder to have your dogs recognized is great, to have two boys reach the pinnacle of breed competition is wonderful, Leo and I thank the judges, and our handlers for their care and presentation.

2026 Litters

Hunter has been bred to Marsea, and one male pup was born November 20, 2025. We’re looking for a family interested in a Show/Breeding dog who will be part of your family when he’s not in the show ring.

And we have a 9 month old black wavy male pup available. He is well started in his training, house and crate trained.

In early 2026 Freya will be bred to Franklin, we expect black and brown, wavy and curly pups.
